Following a career in business and corporate finance Cymon enrolled at The Birmingham School of Speech and Drama (now the Birmingham School of Acting) in 2003 and trod the boards for the next nine years. In 2012 he accepted the position as General Manager of Sulgrave Manor and ran the historic site and accredited museum for the next five years. In 2014 he embarked on a tour of Virginia and Washington DC giving lectures at historical sites and societies on the early life of George Washington. Since 2017 Cymon has been writing content for websites and magazines, focusing on factual but untold historical stories.
Away from the world of work Cymon spent five years on the council of the Anglo-Jordanian Society as Chairman of the Entertainments Committee. He was involved in devising and organising events, which would often include guests from the Royal families of both countries. He is a Freeman of the City of London, which means he can drive his sheep over London Bridge!
Recently Cymon has held the position of Chairman of The British American Committee at RAF Croughton. Again he was devising and organising events that helped bring together the USAF personnel on the base with the local community.
Cymon has lived in the locality for more than forty years.
